His unique background combines scientific knowledge, with a Ph.D. in equine learning applied to training, and the prestigious training certificate: the Fellow of the British Horse Society.
He has served for many years on the Board of Directors of the International Society for Equitation Science, putting his expertise to use in advancing the industry. He is also a professor in Equine Science and Management at Delaware Valley University, where he imparts his vast knowledge to the next generation of equestrian professionals.
Dr. Telatin’s lifelong quest to improve horse training and welfare was ignited in 1991 when Dr. Zanforlin, professor in comparative animal psychology at Padua University, introduced him to the study of learning theories applied to equine training. This passion has made him a sought-after speaker at international conferences, sharing his insights to promote better understanding and care of horses worldwide. His dynamic approach and untiring dedication make him a true champion in the world of equestrian science.
In his spare time, Dr. Telatin enjoys the thrill of riding his horse bridleless and has recently discovered a new passion for playing pickleball.
